1. The show
Videshi Swayamvar is an entertainment reality series published on Instagram (@videshiswayamvar) and on this website. It is a show to watch and take part in, not a matchmaking service. Anya, the lead of Season 1, is a virtual character created with AI. She is not a real person, and no real marriage takes place as part of the show. Characters, story lines and events in the show are made for entertainment.
2. Using this website
- You must be 18 or older to vote.
- Do not use bots, scripts, fake identities or any other method to manipulate votes, and do not try to break, overload or get around the limits of the website.
- We may block access for anyone who breaks these terms.
3. Voting
- Voting is open to all 28 states and 8 union territories until we close it. If a closing time is set, it is shown on this website.
- One vote per device per day. A day runs from midnight to midnight, India Standard Time.
- We may limit how many votes can come from one network in a day or in a minute.
- Votes that we believe are automated, scripted, bulk or paid for will be removed, before or after voting closes.
- When voting closes, the five states or union territories with the most valid votes form the top 5. If two are tied, the one that reached that count first ranks higher. Our count is final.
- We may pause, extend or close voting, for example to deal with abuse or a technical problem.
4. Applying to be on the show (Rishta bhejo)
- The Rishta bhejo form is an application to appear on the show. It is not a marriage proposal or a matchmaking service.
- An application can be sent only for a man aged 21 or above who is not married, with the knowledge of his family.
- The applicant must belong to the state or union territory selected in the form.
- Everything in the form must be true. Photos must be of the applicant, and you must have the right to share them.
- Applying does not guarantee selection. We choose one applicant from each of the top 5 states at our discretion, and we may not be able to reply to everyone.
- Shortlisted applicants will be asked to sign a separate participation agreement before taking part. It will cover filming, consent of family members, travel, safety and any payments.
- We never charge a fee to apply or to take part. If anyone asks you for money in our name, it is a fraud. Please report it to partners@videshiswayamvar.com.
5. Content and names
- The show, its name, logo, characters, videos and this website belong to Videshi Swayamvar.
- If you tick the optional box, we may show your name and photo on the show if you are shortlisted. You can withdraw this permission before the episode is published by writing to us.
